What does everyone think of underground homes? I still don't see a lot of mention of them in architecture themed magazines. They can be beautiful looking homes.
I've seen photographs of houses built into the side of a big hill, so they still had light. Actually they looked quite nice, with large picture windows and I am sure they are energy efficient.
An underground home is just that, a home that is underground. The most energy efficient of them would require a good architect in order to make the most of the daylight. Especially if you want solar power. Here is 1 good example: http://www.simondale.net/house/
